Project Objectives

ASSISTING AFGHANISTAN TO REVITALIZE IRRIGATED AGRICULTURE—AFGHANISTAN IRRIGATION REHABILITATION PHASE II

Supervise, or carry out the irrigation maintenance/repair activities for which design has been done under Phase I;
Establish the Planning and Coordination Unit (P&C) to support the Inter Ministerial Water Management Council and Afghan Ministries involved in irrigation rehabilitation;
Identify additional rehabilitation activities of irrigation systems; Conduct selected training events; and
Prepare regular monthly and quarterly reports, a Phase II report and recommendations for a Phase III workplan.
