ASESSMENT OF AIN GHAZAL PRE-TREATMENT
PLANT EXPANSION REQUIREMENTS
Since
its opening in 1969, the Ain Ghazal water treatment plant has suffered
from over-utilization, as the need for water treatment exceeds its design
capacity. Although temporary measures were taken to ease the demand
load on the plant in the early 1980s, expansion is needed. DAI and its
subcontractor, Montgomery Watson Harza provided technical assistance
through carrying out an assessment of the Ain Ghazal pretreatment plant
in addition to a review of an upcoming Build-Operate-Transfer contract.
