Jordan's overall water strategy and policy statements stress pricing of water services to recover operating cost and part of the capital costs where possible. This project provides technical assistance to the Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ) and the Ministry of Water and Irrigation (MWI) through training MWI and WAJ technical staff engineers and financial officers on the WAJ cost recovery model established by FORWARD in 1997 and expanded in 2001.
