Project Objectives

KENYA COASTAL WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION PILOT PROGRAM

 

PROJECT OBJECTIVES
CURRENT STATUS
  • ICoordinate with USAID/Kenya, USAID/W, URI/CRC, and project stakeholders in Kenya on the design of an integrated $200,000 “Kenya coastal IWRM water supply and rainwater harvesting project”.
  • Conduct preliminary planning and design meetings with the above mentioned partners and produce a consensus-based final Scope of Work and overall project budget.
  • Establish an IWRM Technical Working Group; in conjunction with Kenya Integrated Coastal Management II (KCMI II) project.
  • Assess and revise the IWRM Action Strategy for the N-B-S Area; in conjunction with KCMI 2 project.
  • Initiate Early Implementation Actions.
    Design and implement public education on IWRM and rainwater harvesting
    .
