A study tour involving representatives from SIWM partners was completed. Visits to and presentations about environmental projects, waste water reuse projects were made along the Texas coast. An institute at the University of Texas at Austin which is involved in developing GIS tools in river basin management which includes coastal zone considerations was included. Visits were made to selected sites in and around Tampa, Florida, which included waste water reuse, desalinization plants, and environmental projects. The local consultant developed a draft agenda for the workshop to be held in October or November, 2003 for review by SIWM, DAI and USAID. A draft request for a no-cost extension of Coastal Zone activity to March 31, 2004, was prepared.
